Omanma Adighibe, M.D., PhD

Dr. Omanma Adighibe is from Washington DC, where she was born and primarily raised. Dr. Adighibe embarked on a unique educational journey, completing a combined MD/PhD program through a collaborative effort between Duke University and the University of Oxford in the UK. Throughout her academic career, she has actively engaged in extensive research endeavors and publications of peer-reviewed journals.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr. Adighibe harbors a deep passion for medical missions and global health initiatives. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, actively participating in church activities—where she serves as a Sunday school nursery caretaker/teacher, expressing her creativity through drawing cartoon characters and spending time with family while cooking or watching movies.

My aspiration is for my training to equip me with the competence to practice medicine effectively in any setting, whether urban or rural.”

Ramsha Agha, M.D.

Medical School - King Edward Medical University, Pakistan
Home - Lahore, Pakistan

Dr. Agha was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan. She attended medical school at King Edward Medical University, Lahore. While in medical school, she established the Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission, a student-run organization to create awareness about Hepatitis in Pakistan. After moving to Long Island, NY in 2022, she worked as a medical assistant in a PCP office. Later, she worked as a research clinician at Stony Brook University.

Her medical interests include primary care, women's health, preventive medicine, teaching, and community engagement & outreach.

Dr. Agha loves spending time with her husband and son in her free time. She loves traveling and her most recent road trip was a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway, California. She also enjoys teaching medical students.

“I am overjoyed and truly blessed to be a part of the MS Delta Health System team. I am already in love with the southern hospitality of the Delta community. I was struck by its supportive culture and active commitment to the underserved. It is an honor and a pleasure for me to be able to call Greenville, MS my new home, and I am grateful to be able to work with such a diverse patient population and supportive faculty and co-residents.”

Amra Haroon, M.D.

Medical School - Tbilisi State Medical University, Georgia
Home - Los Angeles, CA

Dr. Haroon is originally from Sri Lanka and grew up in Southern California. She moved to Georgia for medical school where she earned her MD from Tbilisi State Medical University.

Clinical rotations in various parts of Sri Lanka sparked her interest in providing primary care and working with the underserved. She is also interested in obstetrics and women’s health. She hopes to pursue a career practicing humanitarian medicine.

Dr. Haroon enjoys spending time with her family. She loves being out in the sun and exploring the outdoors.

“I believe in empowering patients through education and shared decision-making, and seeing people and communities thrive. Becoming part of the residency program at MSMERC will help me become the physician I always dreamed of. I look forward to availing the amazing opportunity of learning and providing care in the Delta.”

Sneha Hirulkar, M.D.

Medical School - Medical University of Lublin, Poland
Home - Torrance, CA

Dr. Hirulkar was born in India and raised in California. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Riverside and medical degree from the Medical University of Lublin in Poland. She has lived and received education on 3 different continents, allowing her to easily build rapport and acclimate into different communities.

Dr. Hirulkar’s medical interests include primary care medicine and emergency medicine with the goal of providing comprehensive management for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Hirulkar enjoys traveling, oil painting, hiking, biking, and cooking international cuisines.

To be given an opportunity to improve health outcomes in the Delta and educate patients about their health is immensely humbling, rewarding, and a treasured training experience. Midhat Kamal, M.D.

Medical School - Dow International Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan
Home - Queens, NY

Dr. Kamal attended medical school at Dow International Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She then completed her internship at Dow University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, before moving to the U.S. She has experience working in several medical offices as a Clinical Assistant and Medical Scribe.

Her medical interests include inpatient care, rural primary care, and emergency medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Kamal enjoys traveling and exploring new places, especially those with natural landscapes. She also likes to paint, try new recipes, and spend time with family and friends.

“I am eager to start the Family Medicine residency at MSMERC, particularly as it aligns with my vision of providing medical care to the underserved. I am especially drawn to the importance of preventive care and building long-term relationships with patients. I look forward to starting this journey and working as a team to help improve healthcare outcomes.”

Honorine Kebe, M.D., MPH

Medical School - St. Matthew University School of Medicine, Grand Cayman
Home - Jessup, MD

Dr. Kebe was born in Cameroon and raised in Jessup, Maryland. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland and then her Master of Public Health degree and subsequently her medical degree from St. Matthew University School of Medicine, Grand Cayman.

Her medical interests include community/preventive medicine, rural primary care, and women’s health/High-risk obstetric (OB).

During her free time, she enjoys Afro-beat dance, traveling, hiking, event planning, cooking, and being an advocate for self-care.

“I am excited to be part of the Mississippi Delta Family Medicine Residency Program team, where building strong, trusting relationships with patients is paramount. I am dedicated to empowering individuals to actively participate in their healthcare journey and advocating for equitable access to quality care for all. With the support of the amazing faculty and fellow residents, I look forward to contributing to maternal and fetal health advancements while positively impacting the communities I serve by collaborating with colleagues and mentoring future healthcare professionals.”

Kagi Laki, M.D.

Medical School - Xavier University School of Medicine
Home - Morganville, NJ

Dr. Laki was born in Kampala, Uganda and raised in Morganville, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey. He attended medical school at Xavier University School of Medicine.

His medical interests include emergency medicine and geriatric medicine. He hopes to continue working in underserved communities for the foreseeable future.

During his free time, he enjoys listening to music, reading, and cooking.

“I look forward to serving the community in Greenville, MS as I engage in the Family Medicine residency at MSMERC. The staff has been very accommodating and easy to get along with. I am grateful for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience alongside my fellow co-residents. I believe working in the Delta will further broaden my horizons and allow me to be the physician I have endeavored to become ever since I started my journey in medicine.”

Rishita Minamareddy

Home - Tirupati, India

Dr. Minamareddy was born and raised in Tirupathi, India. She graduated from Narayana Medical College and Hospital in Nellore then enrolled in the Master’s in Public Health program at Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois.

Her interests include rural primary care and medical procedures. In the future, she hopes to continue serving the Delta community.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

“I'm very pleased to have chosen the MS Delta Family Medicine Residency Program. For the past two years, I have resided in the delta region, and it has truly felt like my home. Having the opportunity to train with the patient population I aspire to serve is incredibly rewarding. I cannot think of a better place to start my residency training.”

Sumit Saini, M.D.

Medical School - Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India
Home - Toronto, Canada

Dr. Saini was born in India and raised in Canada. Driven by his passion for medicine, he joined the Canadian Army as a medic, gaining invaluable hands-on experience before pursuing his medical degree at Kasturba Medical College.

Dr. Saini is dedicated to primary care and preventive medicine, focusing on early interventions to prevent chronic illnesses. He finds great satisfaction in managing patients with complex medical conditions, aiming to improve their overall quality of life.

In his free time, Dr. Saini enjoys hiking and exploring new trails, visiting national parks, working with shelter animals, gardening, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
