Scott Christensen, Delta Health System Chief Executive Officer, announced and welcomed Josh Hammons as the new Delta Health-Highland Chief Executive Administrator. Josh has a long healthcare management history and brings a wealth of information and leadership to the role.
“Josh has served in management and leadership positions throughout his stellar career. I have had the opportunity to work with him and am confident that his skill sets will ensure Highland Hill’s success,” said Christensen. “He is a proven leader and has hired an extremely qualified, exceptional staff.”
Delta Health-Highland Hills mission is to provide access to care to a community that has been without a hospital for almost three years. “I am honored to guide the talented team we have formed to care for the residents of Senatobia and surrounding areas. Our main objective is providing excellent care with compassion and efficiency to all we serve,” said Hammons. “Our hospital team will ensure premier local healthcare to our patients and their families.”
Hammons holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Mississippi Medical Center as well as a Master of Business Administration from Belhaven University.
“Delta Health-Highland Hills will be opening July 29, 2021, beginning with emergency room and inpatient services. Josh has already recruited emergency room physicians to begin day one treating patients. As I have mentioned in the past, Delta Health System will continue to invest resources to make this facility the essential hospital the region deserves,” said Christensen.
Josh is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the Mississippi Rural Health Association and the Rotary Club of Senatobia. Josh, his wife Jennifer and two children have made Senatobia their home.
