Delta Health System Welcomes New Specialty and Physician

Iris Stacker, Interim Chief Executive Officer at Delta Health System, is pleased to announce the opening of the Pain Management Clinic as well as welcoming Ryan McGaughey, M.D., and June Kimbrough, CFNP, to The Medical Center.

“There has been a need in the community for our hospital to open a pain management clinic to serve the residents of the Delta Region. Recruiting physicians and key specialties to provide the highest quality and level of care to our citizens is one of our key strategic pillars,” said Stacker. “I am proud to welcome Dr. McGaughey and Ms. June Kimbrough to The Medical Center team. We are extremely fortunate to have this level of pain management care in our region.”

Dr. McGaughey received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS. Dr. McGaughey is board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology.

June received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Delta State University, Cleveland, MS. Prior to completing this degree, she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS., with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Pain management physicians identify and treat chronic pain through a wide range of therapies and interventional procedures. Dr. McGaughey will collaborate with each patient to develop a plan to improve the patient’s quality of life through various approaches such as injections, medications, therapy, and exercise. Conditions that can be treated include back and neck pain, spinal stenosis, arthritis pain, and many other conditions.
