Delta Health System Welcomes New Physician

Scott Christensen, Chief Executive Officer at Delta Health System, is pleased to welcome Michael Sand, D.O, Sleep Specialist, to The Medical Center.

Dr. Sand received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fort Lauderdale, FL. He completed his family medicine residency at McLaren-Macomb, Mount Clarens, MI. and followed with a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Michigan.

According to Christensen, “On behalf of Delta Health System, I would like to welcome Dr. Sand to The Medical Center to enhance our Sleep Facility. He brings a specialty to our area that is vital to the patient’s quality of life. The Medical Center’s Sleep Facility has been serving the Delta region for over 20 years and is accredited by American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Delta Health System continues to provide excellence in health care services.”

Dr. Sand manages sleep disorders from children to adults and collaborates directly with patient’s primary care providers. “Dr. Sand brings an energetic element to the Sleep Facility to better serve our patients. There is a misconception that our sleep facility has been closed but I can assure you, that our team has been working and is looking forward to a long relationship with Dr. Sand,” said Christensen.
