The Medical Center Employee Receives Prestigious Award

The Mississippi Hospital Association Society for Healthcare Engineers & Facility Managers presented Paul Cordell, Delta Health System Assistant Director of Physical Plant with the 2023 Dennis Cagle Emerging Leader Award. The award recognizes those engineers who have gone the extra mile to promote the healthcare engineering profession.

Congratulations to Paul Cordell on an award well deserved. Paul works well with his peers and his exemplary work ethic helps him to serve as a great role model for the staff of Delta Health System,” commented Iris Stacker, Chief Executive Officer.
“Paul is top notch in his trade and has an enthusiastic drive for healthcare, which is rare these days. I have confidence in Paul’s judgement on issues we deal with on a day-to-day basis. I am honored to have someone on my team with such intelligence and professionalism as Paul Cordell,” said Paul Dillon, Director of Physical Plant & Security.
Paul and his wife Chastity, have five children and one grandson. He began his career at The Medical Center in 2006 as a mechanic and continues to serve the hospital today as assistant director.
