Greenville Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Services
Restoring Mobility & Improving Quality of Life
The Medical Center has a comprehensive inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation program. These services are for patients who experience chronic pains and/or reduced mobility caused an injury or illness.
In rehabilitation, you will work with a dedicated physical medicine specialist who will work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. Every person faces unique challenges when dealing with debilitating medical conditions. Our goal is to create realistic goals and create a customized rehabilitation regimen that will result in the most comprehensive recover possible.
Our rehabilitation services include:
- Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation– Intensive physical rehab programs for patients staying at the hospital. These are short-term rehab programs that typically run for less than a month
- Cardiac Rehabilitation– Patients are typically referred to cardiac rehab after a heart attack, stroke, or cardiac event. This program is aimed at restoring heart and vascular health
- Joint Replacement Rehabilitation– It takes time to recover from joint replacement surgery. This program begins in the hospital and helps patients grow accustomed to their new joint and restore mobility
- Outpatient Rehabilitation– Patients who have finished the acute phase of their care can continue their rehabilitation on an outpatient basis. We offer many outpatient programs
- Respiratory Therapy– Lung disease can make it difficult to breathe. Respiratory therapy is aimed at restoring lung function and making it easy to breathe again
