Cardiac Rehabilitation is a comprehensive group of services that includes exercise, education, and counseling to promote a healthy lifestyle and reduce cardiac risk factors. These services are provided to individuals with known cardiovascular disease and their families. The primary goal is to equip the patient and their family with the tools needed to make informed health care decisions and to improve their cardiovascular fitness.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation services provided by The Medical Center are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The AACVPR is dedicated to ensuring that all programs receiving this certification are demonstrating the highest level of quality patient care.
Cardiac Rehabilitation-Vital for patients with the following medical history:
- Recent heart attack
- Post-coronary intervention with stents or balloon
- Post-Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)
- Congestive Heart Failure
